This one is self-explanatory, but I’ll give you a quick rundown: a cup warming coaster is essentially a pad that you sit your cup on to keep your drink warm. It should be noted, however, that this is not a cook topo by any means, and you cannot simply place your pan on it and fry an egg. According to Fatin, she envisioned this as a device that would allow her to keep her drink warm so that she could enjoy it once she broke her fast.
Simply plug the two-pin plug into a wall socket to use it; a USB powered version is also available but was out of stock when we tried to get it. Fatin then carefully placed her cup on the ‘Caution Hot’ section of the cup warming coaster. While she used it as usual with both a ceramic and an aluminum cup, she also experimented with other uses, such as defrosting a frozen box of santan.
She discovered that this cup warming coaster only seemed to work with ceramic mugs. It kept her coffee warm in the ceramic mug, and when Fatin placed the cup there, a blue light turned on. However, it will not necessarily keep it as warm as when it began. Having said that, the coaster refused to turn on and heat the aluminum mug, nor did it work when she tried to defrost her frozen box of santan.
